How Scholarship Matches are Determined

Final competitors are matched with scholarship awards based on the following criteria:

  • Applicant’s performance in the preliminary and final competitions
  • Responses on the C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships
  • Application
  • Applicant’s participation in C-CAP activities
  • Applicant’s work experience
  • Cumulative high school GPA
  • Scholarship eligibility requirements (GPA requirements exist for select scholarships as determined by the donors)
  • Final competition interview
  • Applicant’s preferences as indicated in the competition application
  • Need (as determined by the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR))

**Please note: Based on the above criteria, C-CAP may find students best suited for a scholarship to a school not listed as one of their preferences**
