C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships Application

The C-CAP Competition Application is the first step towards consideration in the C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships. Students must be selected to participate in each of the following steps:

  • C-CAP Application
  • C-CAP Preliminary Competition
  • C-CAP Final Competition

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the requirements listed below in order be eligible for the C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships:

  • Applicant must currently attend a C-CAP partner public high school or after school program
  • Senior applicants must have taken one (1) culinary course at the C-CAP approved high school or after school program (includes the course you are currently enrolled in), two (2) courses is preferred
  • Junior applicants must currently be enrolled in a culinary course
  • Applicant must be a Junior or Senior in high school, or must be enrolled in a GED program, or must have passed the GED test
  • All GED applicants must have their GED scores on or before the date of the final competition
  • Applicant must be 21 years old or younger

The C-CAP Competition application includes the following

  • 2009-2010 C-CAP Competition Application Form
  • Personal Essay and Drafts
  • High School Transcript
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendations and Recommendation Forms
  • Media Release Form

For a copy of the C-CAP Competition for Scholarships application, contact your local C-CAP Coordinator or download a copy from your local C-CAP office webpage. Please note: Applying does not automatically enter you in the cooking competition. You must be selected to compete.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) works with public schools across the nation to prepare high school students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry. A national nonprofit, C-CAP provides teacher training, scholarships, cooking competitions, job shadows, training and internships, college and career advising, and product and equipment donations.
