How C-CAP Made a Difference
“C-CAP made a huge difference in my life,” says Wallace. “And thanks to C-CAP, I’ll never forget meeting Jacques Pépin in Phoenix!”
In high school Emily Wallace, Esq. saw cooking as the kind of creative profession she wanted. Wallace did well enough to earn a C-CAP scholarship to Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. But during her two years in culinary school, she realized her limitations. “I was not a gifted chef,” she admits. However, her business law courses gave Wallace a new direction. An English professor also recognized her true calling and encouraged her to apply to law school.
“C-CAP changed the path of my life,” states Wallace. “Growing up in Arizona, I expected to attend college in Arizona. Going two thousand miles away to school opened my eyes and expanded my view of the world. I learned to adapt–which later helped me adapt in the foreign world of law school, and then in becoming a lawyer.” One more C-CAP benefit, she adds, “Being a fairly decent cook!” |
